Sadhana Fichtner
When Sadhana began her dance studies in 2001, she discovered all the power and beauty that a dancing body creates. Learning and exploring the art of dance movement then became the goal of his life. However, the decisive event for the development of her dance occurred only ten years later when she met the inspiring community of researchers of axis Syllabus. From there, his understanding of the human body in motion fundamentally changed. She is involved in Axis Syllabus' teacher training and training program and today regularly teaches amateur and professional dancers in Berlin and abroad.
"All connected - in an endless groove!
The idea of eternal loops, with its special and interesting properties, is a topic worth looking into more. With a simple modification, a flat strip can be transformed into a three-dimensional structure, known as a Möbius strip.
This workshop will use the Möbius strip as a conceptual framework to help understand how bodies evolve and move.
A key property of the Möbius strip is its apparent lack of a clearly identifiable top or bottom surface, and the absence of any obvious distinction between inside and out, which invites reflection on the themes of continuity and interconnectedness, and the absence of beginning and end.
The workshop will provide a valuable opportunity for participants to engage in sensitive exploration, dynamic experimentation, dance movements and experimental processes, in addition to theoretical insights.
The Axis Syllabus
Initiated by choreographer and teacher Frey Faust, the Axis Syllabus is a collective initiative to gather, analyze, evaluate and test the latest knowledge and information relating to the limits and potential of human movements. This rich source of information draws from many scientific fields including anatomy, physics, biology, embryology, biomechanics, bio-tensegy, etc. The Axis Syllabus provides tools for observation and exploration, proposes strategies and offers a renewed and innovative perspective on the body in movement, its preservation and its development. Frey Faust is the author of “The Axis Syllabus, Human Movement Lexicon” available at www.axissyllabusforum.org
